The Suspension Retreat

Welcome to a weekend of rope, pleasure, exploration and learning. It is time to fly!

We use the rope as a tool, as an extension of our arms to hold you closer, to hold you with more depth. We will dance together in deep connection and experiment with surrendering into the space held by your partner. How deeply do you desire to surrender, what happens to you when you trust in the ropes that hold you?

With great experience and knowledge of both the body and the ropes we slowly build our knowledge and technique in order to get to the point where we can safely lift our partner into the air. Providing them with a safe haven to surrender to the sensation, to the rope, to the one holding the rope. You will learn the essential needed knots and harnesses to get to a point where with safety and trust we are ready to suspend one partner into the air. Are you ready to take flight? Or do you desire the knowledge to safely and securely suspend your partner?

All of you is welcome here! All expressions and all emotions, from tenderness to play, relaxation, anger, grief and sensuality. We request you to come with a partner, any style of partner is welcome, a friend, a lover and make sure it is someone you trust and are ready to lean into. This is a great opportunity to learn more about yourself, your vulnerability and the energy between you and your partner. An exploration into surrender, a safe space to float into suspension and a dance in connection!

It is advised to have some prior experience with ropes, but we will teach you the technique needed. Knowledge of how your body and mind reacts in vulnerable and intimate situations and how to communicate your boundaries, is recommended.

ABOUT THE SPACE HOLDERS My name is Karen, I am passionate about pleasure! A Life artist and a spiritual seeker who creates safe spaces where the body and soul can communicate. I am fuelled by the gifts of life and love creating experimental spaces for people to come together and holding space for visionary solutions to emerge. I believe in the power inside of every single one of us and I live to support people to embrace their light and let it shine into the world. I am dedicated to creating community, to bring people together as I know it to be the way we move forward and simultaneously create magic. I have been inspired by rope work for about 10 years and have felt deeply the connection it can bring, both to a partner and to the experience of life within my own being. I love surrendering into the hands and the rope of another as well as over and over again being mesmerised of the sensation of holding space for others to surrender into my arms and experience new sides of themselves.

My name is Sven, I am inspired by nature and live for contact with others. For me, the feeling that we are all connected and that we can and must be there for each other is crucial. This has made me create places where we can meet. It can be through the dance or, as now, through the ropes. I have been practicing bdsm for 39 years and have explored many aspects of the interaction that exists in a bdsm relationship. In recent years, I have drifted towards focusing almost exclusively on Shibari / Kinbaku and the special dynamics it creates to perform a craft so tightly intertwined with the help of the ropes. ABOUT FISKABÄCK Our retreat center "Fiskabäck" is old farm from the 18th century and is located near Brösarp in Norra Österlen. Here there are animal’s; chicken’s, peacock’s and cat’s, and the houses are surrounded by a beautiful garden. There are open fields and forest. Located at the end of a dirt road and it`s peace and quiet is special. There is a wood-burned sauna and cold tub that we can use. The rooms are simple and beautiful. FOOD Chef Karin will be serving us 3 delicious ecological, vegetarian locally produced meal’s, with vegan and gluten free options. If you have any allergies or other preferences let us know when you register.

We recommend you to wear comfortable clothes that you can move freely in and bring a water bottle. Feel free to bring your own rope if you so desire, there will also be rope available to borrow and buy. The event will be held in English unless the whole group speaks Swedish.

CANCELLATION POLICY If you cancel tree weeks before the event, a 50% refund will be given. If you cancel two week before, 25% will be refunded and after that the ticket is non-refundable. You are welcome to give or sell your ticket to someone else. Each course fee includes a booking fee of SEK 800 which is not refunded upon cancellation.
