Conscious Rope Self-Tying – A Practice of Feeling

Writer: KarenKaren

There is a quiet kind of magic in rope. The way it wraps, the way it holds, the way it invites us to be present.

For me, self-tying is a ritual. A moment to shift from the chaos of my thoughts into the depth of my body. It’s a place where I can explore sensation, tension, and breath without words.

In my journey with Shibari, I’ve found that tying myself isn’t just about technique—it’s about relationship. A relationship with my body, my emotions, my edges. It’s an intimate practice of listening and honouring what is alive inside me.

And now, I want to share this experience with you.

I’ve created an online course to guide you into the art of Conscious Rope Self-Tying. Whether you’re completely new or already familiar with rope, this course is designed to support your journey in:

✨ Learning the basics of tying your own body

✨ Practicing knots with ease and flow

✨ Exploring slowness, tension, and sensation

✨ Cultivating a deeper connection with yourself through rope

All you need to begin is one rope (and I always recommend keeping safety scissors nearby, just in case). My personal favourite ropes come from @lahtnor, but you’re welcome to start with what you have—just be mindful of the material, as synthetic fibers can easily cause friction burns.

If this speaks to you, I invite you to explore the course:👉 https://www.yesandmoreplease.net/online

Let’s tie, let’s feel, let’s discover together.

With love and rope,

Karen
